About Life and Death Silks

Our journey didn’t start with silk; it started with a passion for creativity. Working in high-end hospitality spots in Oslo, we brought our creativity to life through food and drinks, creating visually stunning experiences with inventive flavors. But when we moved to Poland, the need to find work quickly led us to corporate jobs. From an early age, we both knew we didn’t want to work in offices, helping others fulfill their dreams while pushing our own creative passions aside. Corporate life isn’t exactly a haven for creativity, and we soon felt stuck, longing to express ourselves.

Then, the pandemic hit. Forced to work from home, we began creating designs as a way to reconnect with our creative selves. We spent countless hours learning about color theory, graphic design, and textile patterns—using every opportunity to hone our craft. What started as a passion project quickly became a shared vision. We discovered silk as a canvas for our art, and Life and Death Silks was born. Silk, with its timeless elegance and luxurious feel, became the perfect medium for us to capture life’s transitions, expressing both the light and the dark, the bold and the beautiful.

These are not just scarves or pocket squares; they’re pieces of art that carry stories of transformation, courage, and individuality. Our limited-edition collections are created to be treasured—each one a rarity, intended to be worn, loved, and perhaps even passed down as heirlooms.

But our journey hasn’t been without challenges. Sourcing the finest silk and making a place for ourselves in the fashion world required resilience, and there were moments of doubt. But when we launched our first collection, the response was overwhelming. People saw our vision, felt the passion in our designs, and made our pieces part of their own stories.

Now, as we continue to grow, we’re excited to push boundaries, keep quality at the heart of everything, and stay true to our values and ethics. We’re not here to sell scarves and squares—we’re here to build a community that values self-expression, individuality, and boldness.
